Exporting Registered Data to a USB Memory Device

You can export the data registered in the machine to a USB memory device. For more information about the settings that cannot be exported, see Exporting/Importing Registered Data.

Connect a USB memory device to the USB memory port.
IMPORTANT:
The USB port on the right side of the machine toward the rear is not available.
Do not disconnect, jostle, or turn OFF the machine or USB memory device while the data is being transferred.

Use / to select <System Management Settings>, and press .
If the logon screen appears, enter the correct ID and PIN using the numeric keys, and then press . Logging on to the Machine

Select <Import/Export of Settings> <Export>.

Enter the password, select <Apply>, and press .
Enter up to 32 alphanumeric characters for the encryption password.
IMPORTANT:
This password will be required when you import the data to the machine (Importing Registered Data from a USB Memory Device).

Enter the password again for confirmation, select <Apply>, and press .

Exporting starts.
IMPORTANT:
Do not operate until the process is complete
The screen remains the same during the export process. Do not operate the machine until the <Export is complete.> message is displayed.

Disconnect the USB memory device from the USB memory port.

Press .

Press  (Status Monitor).

Use / to select <Device Status>, and press .

Select <Remove Memory Media>, and press .
Wait until the <Memory media can be safely removed.> message is displayed.

Disconnect the USB memory device.
