Using a Fax Server [North America]

You can send faxes using a fax server.

* Depending on the region, this function may not be available.

Preparing to Send Faxes Using a Fax Server

After connecting the machine to the fax server, configure the following settings:

Register the domain name of the fax server in [Auto Add Specified Domain to Dest. Without Domain], and set [When Sending I-Fax] to [On]. [Auto Add Specified Domain to Dest. Without Domain]

Enable the use of the fax server. [Use Fax Server] [North America]

IMPORTANT

To enable the use of the fax server, restart the machine twice.

When you enable this function, the fax line cannot be used for sending.

For details on the fax servers that can be used, contact your dealer or service representative.

Sending Faxes Using a Fax Server

On the [Home] screen of the control panel, press [Fax Server] and set the fax destination on the [Fax Server] screen, in the same way as when you send normal faxes. Sending Faxes

NOTE

Specify the destination as a fax number, in the same way as when you send normal faxes.

You may need to enter the country code before the fax number, depending on the service of the fax server you are using.

Example: When sending to "(323) 555 1234" in the United States (country code: 1)
