Preparations and Orientation for Loading Envelopes
As envelopes have a different shape and thickness from regular paper, preparations must be made before loading envelopes.
When loading envelopes, pay attention to the orientation and which side is face up.
Preparations before Loading Envelopes
Align the envelopes regardless of the number of envelopes to be loaded.
1
Flatten them to remove any air, and make sure the edges are pressed tightly.
2
Loosen any stiff corners of the envelopes, and flatten any curls.
3
Align the edges of the envelopes on a flat surface.
The envelopes are ready to be loaded.
Loading Envelopes
When you load envelopes, pay attention to the orientation of the envelopes and which side is face up.
IMPORTANT
When using envelopes with glue on the flap, the heat and pressure from the fixing assembly may melt the glue.
When printing on envelopes, the print quality may deteriorate in the areas that overlap the glue or at the edges.
NOTE
For the general procedure of loading envelopes, see the following:
Remove printed envelopes from the output tray when it reaches 10 envelopes.
