Adjusting the Print Position
If the print position is shifted, you can perform adjustments on the machine as follows:
When printed image is slanting diagonally (Correct Image Misalignment)
When printed image is distorted like a parallelogram (Correct Distortion (Parallelogram))
When printed image is distorted like a trapezoid (Correct Distortion (Trapezoid)) (C7100 Series only)
When printed image is enlarged or reduced (Adjust Image Size)
When image position is shifted left or right according to the feed direction (Adjust Left Edge Alignment)
When image position is shifted toward the leading or trailing edge according to the feed direction (Adjust Lead Edge Alignment)
You can either adjust the print position for each paper source, or you can adjust it for each paper type.
* You can also perform adjustment for paper that can be used for 2-sided printing.
Usable Paper for 2-Sided PrintingAdjusting for Each Paper Source
If the print position is shifted when you use a particular paper source, specify the paper source and adjust the print position.
* When you use custom paper for which the print position has been adjusted, the adjustment values for that paper are used.
Adjusting for Each Paper Type
If the print position is shifted when you use a particular paper type of paper, register the paper as a custom paper type and adjust the print position. You can use the test page or guide sheet to perform the print position adjustments in batch, or you can perform adjustment by entering individual measured values according to how the print position is shifted.
The adjustment results are applied when you specify the paper type and perform printing.
