Setting the IPP Printing Function of the Machine

You need to set the IPP printing function of the machine to allow printing using IPP.
By default, it is not possible to print using IPP.
 
This section describes how to configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer.
On the control panel, select [ Settings/Registration] in the [Home] screen or other screen, and then select [Preferences] to configure the settings. [IPP Print Settings]
Administrator or NetworkAdmin privileges are required. The machine must be restarted to apply the settings.
Required Preparations
When using IPPS printing (enabling printing only when using TLS), specify the key and certificate to use for TLS encrypted communication. Using TLS
* When using a key whose generation algorithm is RSA, specify a key with a length of 1,024 bits or more. Depending on the OS used, IPPS printing may not be performed properly using a key with a length of 512 bits.
* When using IPPS printing in a Windows environment, specify the certificate in which the IP address of the machine is set as the common name.

Log in to Remote UI as an administrator. Starting Remote UI

On the Portal page of Remote UI, click [Settings/Registration]. Remote UI Portal Page

Click [Network Settings] [IPP Print Settings].
The [IPP Print Settings] screen is displayed.

Select the [Use IPP] checkbox.

Set whether to use IPPS printing or IPP authentication.
When Using IPPS Printing
Select the [Allow When Using TLS] checkbox.
When Using IPP Authentication
Select the [Use Authentication] checkbox.
* The user name and password registered on the machine are used for IPP authentication. Registering User Information to a Local Device

Click [OK].

Restart the machine. Restarting the Machine
The settings are applied.

When the IPP printing function is enabled, the HTTP settings are also enabled. [Use HTTP]
