Document Notification
By using Document Monitor to manage documents, when there is an unread/updated document in a monitored folder or a new document arrives in My Tray, you can choose to be notified by the main icon in the task tray, by the unread/updated document list window, or by sound.

You need to configure the document notification settings to receive document notifications. For more information on these settings, see the following.
If a document has its highlighting cleared in the Desktop Browser screen, you will not be notified that it is a document. For more information on highlighting, see the following.

Document Notification Icon and Unread/Read Document List Window
You can choose to be notified by the document notification icon in the task tray or the unread/updated document list window, when there is an unread/updated document in the monitored folder, or when a new document arrives in My Tray.
If a comment has been attached to a new document in My Tray, by displaying a thumbnail in the unread/updated document list window, the comment is displayed.
For PDF documents, the number of pages is displayed in the unread/updated document list window.

Multiple icons are not displayed for the document notification icon displayed in the task tray.
The number of pages in a PDF in a Document Server Library is not displayed.
The unread/updated document list window can be dragged and moved to any point on the desktop. You can also change the size of the unread/updated document list window.
When you reopen an unread/updated document list window which was closed, click or right-click the main icon and select [Display List of Unread/Modified Documents].
The unread/updated document list window is not displayed if the OS is locked or a screensaver is running.

The following document notification icons are displayed in the task tray.

This is displayed in the task tray when there are unread/updated documents in a monitored folder or new documents in My Tray.

The unread/updated document list window displays the following icon, message and the documents or the folders where the documents you were notified of are saved.

If you fail to access the monitoring target folder, an access failed notification window is displayed.
In the access failure notification, the following icon, message, and the monitoring target folder where the access failure occurred are displayed.
In the access failure notification, the following icon, message, and the monitoring target folder where the access failure occurred are displayed.

Could not access the following folder. Click [Remove] if the folder does not need to be monitored.

Document Notification Sound
It notifies you when there is an unread/updated or new document. The alarm sounds for 9 seconds.
The types of notification sound you can select are as follows:

The Windows message sound is played.

A wav/wave format sound source file can be selected.

The document notification sound does not play if the OS is locked or a screensaver is running.
By performing one of the following operations, the notification sound can be turned off.
If the unread/updated document list window is closed
If the unread/updated document list window or the [Log List] window is displayed
