Inserting Text Notes in Document Text

With Annotation Editor, you can insert text notes as an annotation in PDF files and binder documents.

(Text Note) annotations have both highlighted text and notes that highlight text.

Inserting New Text Notes

1.
Click (Select Text) on the Object Palette Pane.
Or click (Text Note) on the object palette pane.
Note
When you want to use multiple text notes, double-click (Text Note). When you double-click (Text Note), it is locked while being selected and text notes can be inserted multiple times.
To deselect the selected lines, perform the following.

[Esc] key on the keyboard
You can click  on the Toolbar to continuously insert annotations. For more information, see the following.

Drag the mouse pointer in the Work Pane to select the string to insert the text note in.
When the cursor passes over a selectable text string, the mouse pointer changes into .
When you select (Select Text) in step 1, proceed to step 3.
When you select (Text Note) in step 1, a text note is inserted in the text string.
Proceed to step 4.
Note
If (Select Text) was selected in step 1, to cancel insertion and return the mouse pointer to the original shape, click (Select Object) in the Object Palette Pane.
If (Text Note) was selected in step 1, to cancel insertion and return the mouse pointer to the original shape, perform the following.
Click (Select Object)
Press the [Esc] key on the keyboard

Click (Text Note) on the Object Palette Pane.
Or, follow the procedure below.
Select the [Annotations] menu > [Text Note].
Right-click and select [Text Note].
A text note is inserted into the text, and the text note properties are displayed in the Object Palette Pane.

Enter text in the note.

Configure the properties of the text note.
[Highlight Color]
Select the highlight color you want to use from the list displayed when you click . When you want to use a color that is not available in the list, click [More Colors]. Changing the color of the highlight also causes the color of the pop-up to change.
[More Colors]
If you click this, the [Color] dialog box is displayed. Using the [Color] dialog box, you can set a color that is not listed in [Highlight Color].
[Transparency]
The slider position and the numeric value (%) indicate the degree of transparency of the text note. To change the degree of transparency, move the slider to left or right, or enter a numeric value.
[Font]
Select the font to use from the list displayed when you click . The list displays the fonts installed in your computer.
[Size]
Select the font size to use from the list displayed when you click . You can also enter the font size directly. Font sizes that can be configured are between 3.0 and 72.0 points.
[Style]
Configure the style to use. Click this button to switch between ON/OFF. You can combine more than one style.
[Bold]
Turn this button ON when configuring the bold style.
[Italic]
Turn this button ON when configuring the italic style.
[Font Color]
Select the font color you want to use from the list displayed when you click . When you want to use a color that is not available in the list, click [More Colors].
[More Colors]
If you click this, the [Color] dialog box is displayed. Using the [Color] dialog box, you can set a color that is not listed in [Font Color].
6.
Click on the work pane outside the text note you inserted to deselect the text note.
When you deselect the text note, it is automatically closed.

Changing Text Note Content

1.
Click (Select Object) on the Object Palette Pane.

Double-click the text note to change the content of in the Work Pane.
Or, follow the procedure below.
Select the [Annotations] menu > [Display Note].
Right-click and select [Display Note].
The note of the text note is displayed.

Change the text in the note.
Note
If the text string is too long to fit in the note, a line break is automatically inserted.
4.
Click on the work pane outside the note you edited to deselect the note.

When you deslect the text note, the changes made are automatically saved and the text note is closed.
