Copying Annotations

Annotations, such as stamps, text, and figures, inserted with Annotation Editor can be copied or cut, and they can be pasted in another location.

Note
You can copy or cut an annotation to paste it to a document that is opened with another Annotation Editor.
Also see the following as necessary.
Copying Text, Text Box, Comment, or Text Note Content
1.
Click (Select Object) on the Object Palette Pane.
Or click (Select Text) on the object palette pane.
2.
Click the target text, text box, or comment in the Work Pane.
Or, drag the mouse pointer selection rectangle to include text or text boxes to copy the contents.
To select a text note, double-click it.
3.
Move the mouse pointer to the selected text, text box, comment, or text note and click it.
The shape of the mouse pointer becomes.
4.
Select the range to copy by dragging the mouse pointer.
Or, press the arrow keys while holding the [Shift] key on the keyboard.
5.
Click  (Copy) on the Toolbar.
Or, follow one of the steps described below.
Select the [Edit] menu > [Copy]
Right-click and select [Copy]
Use the following operation to paste as necessary.
Click  (Paste) on the Toolbar
Select [Text] from the menu displayed by clicking  (Paste Special) on the toolbar
Select the [Edit] menu > [Paste]
Right-click and select [Paste]

If buttons are not displayed on the Annotation Editor Toolbar, set the buttons on the Toolbar. For more information, see the following.

Cutting Text, Text Box, Comment, or Text Note Contents

1.
Click (Select Object) on the Object Palette Pane.
Or click (Select Text) on the object palette pane.
2.
Click the target text, text box, or comment in the Work Pane.
Or, drag the mouse pointer selection rectangle to include text or text boxes to cut the contents.
To select a text note, double-click it.
3.
Move the mouse pointer to the selected text, text box, comment, or text note and click it.
The shape of the mouse pointer becomes.
4.
Select the range to copy by dragging the mouse pointer.
Or, press the arrow keys while holding the [Shift] key on the keyboard.
5.
Click  (Cut) on the Toolbar.
Or, follow one of the steps described below.
Select the [Edit] menu > [Cut].
Right-click and select [Cut].
Use the following operation to paste as necessary.
Click  (Paste) on the Toolbar.
Select [Text] from the menu displayed by clicking  (Paste Special) on the toolbar
Select the [Edit] menu > [Paste].
Right-click and select [Paste]

Copying Annotations

1.
Click (Select Object) on the Object Palette Pane.
Or click (Select Text) on the object palette pane.
2.
Move the mouse pointer to an annotation to copy in the Work Pane, and click the mouse when the shape of the mouse pointer changes to .
Or, drag the mouse pointer selection rectangle to include the desired annotation to copy.
Note
Multiple annotations can be selected by left-clicking them while holding down one of the following keys.
[Shift] key on the keyboard
[Ctrl] key on the keyboard
You can press the [Tab] key on the keyboard successively to make a desired annotation selected.
If you want to select all annotations in the page, select the following while keeping the Work Pane active.
[Edit] menu > [Select All].
Right-click and select [Select All].
When a large number of pages or annotations are selected, unwanted dotted-line frames may be displayed.
3.
Click  (Copy) on the Toolbar.
Or, follow the procedure below.
Select the [Edit] menu > [Copy]
Right-click and select [Copy]
Drag while holding the [Ctrl] key on the keyboard
Use the following operation to paste as necessary.
Click  (Paste) on the Toolbar
Select [Annotation] from the menu displayed by clicking  (Paste Special) on the toolbar
Select the [Edit] menu > [Paste]
Right-click and select [Paste]

If buttons are not displayed on the Annotation Editor Toolbar, set the buttons on the Toolbar. For more information, see the following.
When the same page is specified as the paste destination of the copied annotation, the annotation is pasted 15 pixels below and to the right of the copy source.
When the next page is specified as the paste destination, the annotation is pasted in the same position as the copy source.

Cutting Annotations

1.
Click (Select Object) on the Object Palette Pane.
Or click (Select Text) on the object palette pane.
2.
Move the mouse pointer to an annotation to cut in the Work Pane and click the mouse when the shape of the mouse pointer changes to .
Or, drag the mouse pointer selection rectangle to include the desired annotation to cut.
Note

When the same page is specified as the paste destination of the cut annotation, the annotation is pasted to the following position.
First cut: The same position as the cut source.
Second cut: 15 pixels below and to the right of the cut source.
When the next page is specified as the paste destination, the annotation is pasted in the same position as the cut source.
