Descriptions of Settings

[Profile]
Selecting a profile applies the registered settings. This is useful for saving frequently used settings.
Printing With Profiles
Do not use a profile with different settings from the current settings for [Device Settings] tab - [Device Type].
[Add]
Enables you to register the current settings as a profile. You can set the name etc. in the [Add Profile] Dialog Box.
Adding Profiles
[Edit]
Enables you to edit, import, and export profiles in the [Edit Profile] Dialog Box.
Editing the Profile List
[Output Method]
Enables you to select the method for outputting print data.
[Print]
Performs normal printing.
[Hold]
Saves print data temporarily in a hold queue in the printer. This function is useful when you want to perform proof printing. You can set a data name from [Details] ([Hold Details] Dialog Box).
Suspending Printing
[Secure Print]
Attaches a PIN to the print data and stores it in the printer. This function is useful when printing confidential documents etc.
Secured Printing
[Store]
Stores the print data in a mail box in the printer. You can set the data name and storage destination from [Details] ([Store Details] Dialog Box).
Saving Print Data
[Interrupt Print]
Interrupts the print job being processed at the printer to print another print job.
[Promote Print]
Prints the print job before other print jobs after the current print job is finished.
[Edit and Preview]
Combines multiple files into one when printing. You can also view a print preview and change the print settings. If you select [Lock], the printer driver is locked in [Edit and Preview] mode. This function is useful for restricting the output methods of clients in a shared printer environment.

[Lock] can only be set when the printer driver screen is displayed from the Start menu (see Changing the Default Settings).
[Objective]
Enables you to set a print quality mode that matches the purpose of the document by simply selecting a setting.

[Advanced Settings]
The [Advanced Settings] Dialog Box ([Quality] Tab) enables you to configure more detailed print quality settings.
[Color Mode]
Enables you to switch between color printing and grayscale (black and white) printing. Selecting [Auto [Color/B&W]] enables the printer to automatically detect whether each page should be printed in color or grayscale.

[Manual Color Settings]/[Manual Grayscale Settings]
The [Color Settings]/[Grayscale Settings] Dialog Box enables you to adjust color, brightness, contrast, and color matching.
Adjusting Colors
[Retrieve Calibration Information]
Obtains calibration information from the printer each time you output a document.
[Add-in Information]
Displays information concerning add-in modules (expanded functions) added to the printer driver.
[About]
Displays information about the printer driver version.
[Restore Defaults]
Returns all the settings to their standard (default) values.
[View Settings]
Enables you to check the current settings in a list.
[Language Settings]
Enables you to select the display language.
