Setting the Date and Time

Set the date and time for the machine. The date and time set here are used as the reference for the functions that use the date and time information, and therefore, they need to be set accurately.
 
This section describes how to configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer.
On the control panel, select [ Settings/Registration] in the [Home] screen or other screen, and then select [Preferences] to configure the settings. [Date/Time Settings]
Administrator privileges are required. Depending on the item to be configured, you may have to restart the machine.

Log in to Remote UI as an administrator. Starting Remote UI

On the Portal page of Remote UI, click [Settings/Registration]. Remote UI Portal Page

Click [Timer/Energy Settings] [Date/Time Settings].
The [Date/Time Settings] screen is displayed.

In [Date/Time Settings], enter the current date and time.
Enter the time using 24-hour format regardless of the time display format setting. [Time Format]

In [Time Zone Settings], select the time zone according to the region where the machine is used.
Use the time zone based on the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
To use the machine by connecting it to the Internet, it is a prerequisite to set the UTC correctly.
* The Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is the coordinated time standard used to regulate time in all parts of the world.

Set the daylight saving time, as needed.
When you set the daylight saving time, you can set the time one hour ahead of the standard time for a certain period of time during the summer.
Select the [Use Daylight Saving Time] checkbox in [Daylight Saving Time Settings], and set the start date/time and end date/time. For the day, specify which day of which week (first, second, etc.) of the month.

Click [OK].
The settings are applied.
When you have changed the time zone or the daylight saving time settings, the machine must be restarted for the settings to be applied. Restarting the Machine

Log out from Remote UI.
