Set whether to enable Quick Startup for the machine. Quick Startup reduces the time until you can start performing screen operations and scanning, after you turn ON the machine. If you select [On], standby power is consumed even when the power is turned OFF. The machine emits a tone sound when the power is turned ON or OFF.
* When the power is turned OFF, the tone is emitted only if [Sleep Mode Tone] or [Energy Saver/Sleep Tone] is set to [On]. However, the tone is not emitted if Quick Startup cannot be performed due to the status of the machine.

Situations When Quick Startup Is Not Performed
When using wireless LAN
When turning ON the machine within 20 seconds after turning it OFF
When starting the machine 8 hours or more after turning it OFF
When the power cord is unplugged from the power outlet after the machine was turned OFF
When turning ON the machine after it was turned OFF using Remote UI
When turning ON the machine after it was turned OFF under any of the following conditions:
When more than 110 hours have elapsed since Quick Startup
While jobs are being processed
When jobs are reserved
Immediately after using a telephone line
During data backup
When the machine is being accessed via the network
When restart is required after changing the settings
When an error has occurred
When using the Limited Functions mode
When MEAP applications that do not support Quick Startup are installed
When [Quick Startup Settings for Main Power] Is Set to [On]
When Quick Startup Settings for Main Power is set to On, do not disconnect the power cable even if the main power is turned OFF. Depending on the device status, Quick Startup may not be able to be performed.
The Auto Reset function automatically restores the default settings when no operations are performed on the control panel for a certain period of time. Set the amount of time that elapses before Auto Reset is performed. If you do not want the machine to perform Auto Reset, set this to 0 minutes.
Set whether to restrict changes to the [Auto Reset Time] and [Function After Auto Reset] settings. When you select [On], only administrators can change these settings.
The Auto Reset function automatically restores the default settings when no operations are performed on the control panel for a certain period of time. Set which screen to display after Auto Reset is performed.
To display a specific screen, select [Initial Function] and specify the screen in [Default Screen after Startup/Restoration]. [Default Screen after Startup/Restoration]

The Auto Shutdown function automatically turns OFF the power after the machine enters Sleep Mode, if no operations are performed on the control panel for a certain period of time. Set the amount of time that elapses before Auto Shutdown is performed.
* Depending on the status of the machine, Auto Shutdown may not be available.

IMPORTANT
If an optional fax board is installed, Auto Shutdown is not performed.
The machine turns OFF automatically when no operations are performed on the control panel for a certain period of time, even if operations are being performed using Remote UI. A malfunction may occur if the machine performs Auto Shutdown while data is being imported. When data is to be imported, set [Auto Shutdown Time] to [0].
NOTE
When Off or set to a longer time, energy consumption will increase.
Configure the settings to automatically shut down the machine at a specified time each day of the week. This function eliminates the need to manually turn OFF the power each day.
* When both the Auto Shutdown Time and Auto Shutdown Weekly Timer settings are configured, priority is given to Auto Shutdown Time.
Set the amount of energy used by the machine in Sleep Mode.
* Even when you select [Low], the energy use may be the same as when set to [High], depending on the status of the machine.

IMPORTANT
When the machine is connected to a computer using a USB cable, the machine may not be able to communicate correctly, depending on the timing at which the machine enters Sleep Mode. Exit the machine from Sleep Mode, and send the data again.
NOTE
Depending on the network utility software you are using, communication failures may occur if the energy use is set to [Low]. Press the Energy Saver key to exit the machine from Sleep Mode before use.
When the machine is connected to a wireless LAN, this item is set to [High].
When the machine is connected to a wireless LAN, this item must be manually set to [High].
When [High] is selected, energy consumption will increase while in Sleep Mode.
Set whether to enable Sleep Mode Eco Exit when the machine exits Sleep Mode and you start operations. When you select [On], Sleep Mode Eco Exit is enabled, allowing you to save energy and reduce noise. When Sleep Mode Eco Exit is performed, the control panel becomes operational first, and then other necessary functions are activated sequentially according to the user's operations.
