External Server Authentication Settings Procedure

Use the following procedure to configure the settings when using external server authentication:
Step 1
Check that the DNS settings of the machine have been configured and that the date and time are set correctly.
Step 2
Check that the login service is set to User Authentication.
Step 3
Prepare the credentials for accessing the Active Directory, LDAP server, or Microsoft Entra ID you want to use, and register the authentication server information.
Step 4
Specify the login method and authentication system, and start user authentication.
Configure the login screen display method and applicable range of user authentication, as needed. Disable the personalization function if not needed.
Step 5
When you use User Authentication for printing, scanning, and sending faxes from a computer, configure the user information for each computer using the machine.
