Configuring DNS
When using the machine in an environment with Domain Name System (DNS), configure the DNS server information and DHCP option settings.
In an environment without DNS, you can configure multicast DNS (mDNS) to use the DNS function. mDNS is used by Bonjour and other software.
* When the machine is connected to two different networks at the same time and using DNS to send and receive specific system data via the sub line, you must also configure DNS on the sub line in addition to configuring this setting.
Setting the DNS of the Sub Line
This section describes how to configure the settings using the control panel.
You can also configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer.
Managing the Machine from a Computer (Remote UI)Administrator or NetworkAdmin privileges are required.
