Margins
Margins in Object Layout Editor refer to the spaces between blocks.
A block is a group of fine objects (elements such as text and graphics on a document) that are placed close to each other. A block is virtually formed (made into a block) by Object Layout Editor.
On [Block Margin Amount] in the block edit mode screen, the percentage of margins is displayed with a gauge. For information on the [Block Margin Amount] gauge, icons, and messages displayed on the block edit mode screen, see the following.
Note
|
An automatically recognized block can be further divided.
You can resize blocks placed next to each other, by moving the boundary between them.
You can delete unnecessary blocks. For more information on deleting, see the following.
You can manually move blocks lengthwise or widthwise. For more information on moving, see the following.
For more information on how to switch the pages to be displayed in the Work Pane, see the following.
For more information on how to reduce margins, see the following.

Flow of Reducing Margins
The function of reducing margins removes spaces between blocks.
Normally, for two pages displayed within the
Work Pane, a page with younger number is displayed on the left side and margins are reduced with reference to the left page. The following shows some examples:
If there are margins on the left page, they are reduced to the upper direction of the left page.
If the reduction makes another margin at the bottom of the left page, blocks at the top of the right page move to the position to reduce the margin.
This margin reduction makes a margin at the bottom of the right page on the
Work Pane.
Processing for Selected Two Pages
You can select two pages to display on the
Work Pane. If you select two non-consecutive pages, the page between them will not be affected by margin reduction.
For example, when you want to reduce margins while skipping a page to which a large, full-page sized image is inserted, it is useful to select two non-consecutive pages.
Note
|
To display a non-consecutive page on the right side, click the page in the [Thumbnails] list while holding down the [Ctrl] key on the keyboard. The Work Pane displays the two pages on the left and right sides. The pages between these two pages are not displayed.
