Verifying Signatures

You can detect alterations on signed digital stamps and documents in Annotation Editor.

Verifying the Selected Signature

1.
Click a signed digital stamp to verify in the Work Pane.
Or, follow one of the steps described below.
Drag the mouse pointer to create a selection rectangle around the signed digital stamp to verify.
Select a digital stamp from [Signature List] in the Navigation Pane.
Note
Multiple digital stamps can be selected by left-clicking them while holding down one of the following keys.
[Shift] key on the keyboard
[Ctrl] key on the keyboard
In the Work Pane, you can press the [Tab] key on the keyboard successively to toggle between the selection status of inserted annotations and digital stamps.
In [Signature List], you can press the arrow keys on the keyboard to perform the following operations.
Up and down arrow keys on the keyboard: Move the digital stamp selection up or down.
Left and right arrow keys on the keyboard: Close/expand the detailed information displayed for digital stamps.

Click  (Verify) on the Toolbar.
Or, follow one of the steps described below.
Select the [Digital Stamps] menu > [Verify].
Right-click and select [Verify].
The verification results are displayed in [Signature List].
Note
If buttons are not displayed on the Annotation Editor Toolbar, set the buttons on the Toolbar. For more information, see the following.
One of the following icons is displayed at the beginning of each information in [Signature List].
: A stamped image without a digital signature.
: A digital stamp with a signature for which the verification result cannot be confirmed.
When verification has never been performed
When the verification status cannot be detected
When a signed digital stamp does not have a signature
: A digital stamp with a signature with a valid verification result.
When the saving process has not been performed after adding a signed digital stamp
When the data has not been changed before adding a signed digital stamp (has not been modified)
When editing such as adding an annotation has been performed after adding a signed digital stamp (has been edited)
: A digital stamp with a signature with a invalid verification result.
When the data before signing has been changed (has been modified)
You can confirm the verification results in [Verify Status] of each signature, which is displayed when you click .
[Signature List] shows attached digital stamps in chronological order of attachment. However, signatures for which a signed date and time are unknown are displayed at the end of the list.

Verifying All Signatures

1.
Click  (Verify All) on the Toolbar.
Or, follow one of the steps described below.
Select the [Digital Stamps] menu > [Verify All].
Right-click a signed digital stamp and select [Verify All].
The verification results are displayed in [Signature List] in the Navigation Pane.
Note
