If you cannot send a fax or the memory is full, or you encounter operation problems, a message appears on the display. Find out more information about messages in the following list.
A malfunction may occur. A non-Canon toner cartridge or a toner cartridge of the wrong color may be inserted. To use this cartridge, press [I Agree].
A toner cartridge is faulty.
Replace the toner cartridge.
If you select <I Agree>, you can continue making mode, scan, and other settings without immediately replacing the toner cartridge.

Cannot change the destination type of destinations registered to a group.
A selected destination could not be edited because it was registered to Group Dial.
To change the type of destinations that is registered to Group Dial, first clear the registered destinations from Group Dial. Next, change the destination type, then register the dest. to Group Dial again.
Cannot print RX data.
A received document cannot be printed due to the following:
The cover is open.
No paper is loaded.
Paper or originals are jammed.
The toner has run out.
An error occurred.
Check if it corresponds to any of the above. Check the cause and remedy if displayed.
Cannot receive the fax. Make sure the fax was sent correctly by the sender.
The recipient's machine did not respond within 35 seconds.
Ask the sender to send the fax again. When you hear the beep, tap <Start Receiving> to receive the fax.
Cannot send because more than one destination is specified.
Sending faxes to multiple destinations is restricted.
To specify multiple dest., you must set <Restrict Sequential Broadcast> to <Off> or <Confirm Sequential Broadcast>. For more information, contact your administrator.
Group Dial was specified as a destination after tapping <Hook>.
Once you tap <Hook>, you cannot specify a Group Dial. Tap <End> on the <Specify the destination.> screen, and specify destinations in Group Dial again.
Cannot use Google Cloud Print. Server authentication failed.
Cloud Print could not perform server authentication, or could not acquire information for registration.
Check whether the date and time settings are correctly specified. Date/Time Settings
Cannot use Google Cloud Print. Server communication error.
A port that is used for Cloud Print may be blocked by a firewall or other protection. Check whether the 5222 port is available with your computer.
If a proxy server is used on the network, check whether the proxy settings on the machine and the server are correct. For details, contact your Network Administrator.
Cannot use these settings. Sending to the specified destination is restricted.
The logged in user is restricted from sending to the destination registered to the selected <Favorite Settings>.
Change the sending restrictions for the logged in user.
Color copying is restricted. Do you want to make copies in Black & White?
Color copying is disabled in the Department ID Management.

Reports or lists can be printed on A4 or LTR size paper. Load A4 or LTR size paper and set its size. Also, set the paper type to <Plain 1>, <Plain 2>, <Plain 3>, <Recycled 1>, <Recycled 2>, <Recycled 3>, <Color>, or <Thin> depending on the loaded paper.
Paper on which received documents can be printed is not loaded.
Received documents can be printed on A4 or LTR size paper. Load A4 or LTR size paper and set its size. Also, set the paper type to <Plain 1>, <Plain 2>, <Plain 3>, <Recycled 1>, <Recycled 2>, <Recycled 3>, <Color>, or <Thin> depending on the loaded paper.
If you print on paper other than A4 or LTR size, some portions of the image may be missing or the image may be divided and printed onto several sheets.
No response from the host.
The machine is not connected to the network correctly.
Check the machine and network settings, then connect again.
Check that the drawer paper guide is set to the correct position.
Remaining toner information cannot be detected properly. A non-Canon cart. or a cart. with the wrong item number may be inserted. To use this cartridge, press [I Agree].
Scanning from the computer is restricted by Department ID Management.
Log on as a system manager from Remote UI, display the edit screen of the corresponding department ID, then select the [Allow Scan Jobs with Unknown IDs] check box.
Specifying and registering new destinations is restricted.
Only addresses that are registered to Address Book can be specified for sending.
To enter a destination with the operation panel, you need to set <Restrict New Destinations> to <Off>. For more information, contact your administrator.
Scanning from the operation panel is disabled by Department ID Management.
Log on as a system manager from Remote UI, display the edit screen of the corresponding department ID, then select the [Allow Scan Jobs with Unknown IDs] check box.
The memory is full. Scanning will be canceled. Do you want to print?

Select whether to print only the scanned pages or to cancel scanning. If you cancel, divide the document into multiple sets and scan them, or change the scan settings.
