Saving Print Data
[Edit and Preview]
Combines multiple files into one when printing. You can also view a print preview and change the print settings. If you select [Lock], [Output Method] is locked in [Edit and Preview] mode. This function is useful for restricting the output methods of clients in a shared printer environment.
Combining Multiple Files
[Lock] can only be set when the printer driver screen is displayed from the Start menu (see Changing the Default Settings).
[Page Size]
Enables you to select the paper size prepared by the application.
[Output Size]
Enables you to select the actual paper size to be printed on. If you select a size that differs from the [Page Size] setting, the document is automatically enlarged or reduced to fit the [Output Size] setting.
Scaling
If you have set multiple pages sizes in the application, the sizes will be printed to match the size selected in [Output Size].
[Copies]
Enables you to set the number of copies to be printed.
If you can set the number of copies in the application, set the number of copies in either the printer driver or the application.
[Orientation]
Enables you to select the print orientation with respect to the direction in which the page is fed through the printer.
[Page Layout]
Enables you to specify how many pages to print on each sheet of paper.
[1 on 1]
Prints one page of the document on sheet of paper.
[N on 1] (N = 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, or 16)

[Page Order]
Select the order in which the pages are printed.
Reduced Size Layout
The document may not be printed correctly if collating is selected in the application when printing.
When [Orientation] - [Landscape] and [Page Layout] - [2 on 1] are used, [Top to Bottom/Left to Right]/[Top to Bottom/Right to Left] can be selected for [Page Order]. For documents that do not combine portrait and landscape pages, the print result does not change regardless of whether you select [Top to Bottom/Left to Right] or [Top to Bottom/Right to Left].
When printing a document that combines portrait and landscape pages with [Page Layout] - [2 on 1], it is recommended that you select [Output Method] - [Edit and Preview] to display the [Canon PageComposer] dialog box and check the print result in [Print Preview]. (see Combining Multiple Files)
[Poster [1 x 2]]/[Poster [N x N]] (N = 2, 3, or 4)
Enables you to magnify the print data of one page and print it over multiple sheets (vertically x horizontally) of paper. When the printed sheets are joined together, they form a large print like a poster. If printing with a print border, select [Print Border].
[Poster Printing] cannot be selected when [2-sided Printing] has been set. For details about switching between 2-sided printing and 1-sided printing, see 1-sided and 2-sided Printing.
