Initial Settings
IMPORTANT |
Before configuring the initial settings of this software, the RDS version for using this version must be registered on the Remote Monitoring Server. |
1. Configuring the Initial Device Settings
When monitoring devices for the first time via the Remote Monitoring Server, configure and confirm the settings required for managing devices with this software.
When migrating from the imageWARE Enterprise Management Console RDS Plug-in or upgrading an older version of this software, this operation is not required because the device settings are already complete. However, check the authentication information when performing monitoring using the Cloud Connection Agent function of the device.
2. Exporting the Settings of the RDS Plug-in
When migrating from the imageWARE Enterprise Management Console RDS Plug-in or upgrading an older version of this software, export the settings to a file from the RDS Plug-in.
3. Logging In to This Software
Access this software from a Web browser and log in.
4. Configuring the Device Monitoring Mode
Configure the [Monitoring Mode] of the device. The method for monitoring the device is determined by the mode set here.
5. Configuring the Settings for Communicating with the Device
Configure the settings to enable this software to communicate with the device. Also register the authentication information of the device.
6. Configuring the Device Discovery Task
When information (such as IP addresses and MAC addresses) for the devices to manage with this software is not registered to the Remote Monitoring Server (when registering the information discovered with this software to the Remote Monitoring Server), configure a device discovery task.
7. Configuring the Preferences
Configure the settings to enable communication with the Remote Monitoring Server.
When migrating from the imageWARE Enterprise Management Console RDS Plug-in, import a settings file exported from the RDS Plug-in.
8. Exporting the Device Discovery Results
When information (such as IP addresses and MAC addresses) for the devices to manage with this software is not registered to the Remote Monitoring Server (when manually registering the information discovered with this software to the Remote Monitoring Server), follow the export procedure on the page below to export the device information from this software.
9. Configuring the Method for Upgrading This Software
Set whether to automatically or manually upgrade from this version to a new version.

You can check the status and information about the devices registered for management in the device list.
Managing Tasks
Processes performed from this software are executed as tasks. Schedules can be set for some tasks. Tasks that are executing can also be checked.
