Selecting the Network Connection Method
Set the method for connecting the machine to the network. You can connect to the network using any of the following four methods:
Wired LAN only
Wireless LAN only*1
Connecting to a wired LAN and wireless LAN at the same time*1*2
Connecting to a wired LAN and other wired LAN using a USB-LAN adapter at the same time*2
*1When you use a wireless LAN, the optional Wireless LAN Board is required.
This section describes how to configure the settings using the control panel.
You can also set the IP address using Remote UI from a computer after it has been set on the machine.
Managing the Machine from a Computer (Remote UI)Administrator or NetworkAdmin privileges are required.

Log in to the machine as an administrator.

On the control panel, press [
Settings/Registration] in the [Home] screen or other screen.

Press [Preferences]
[Network]
[Select Interface].
The [Select Interface] screen is displayed.

Select the network connection method.
Connecting to a Wired LAN or Wireless LAN Only
Select [Wired LAN] or [Wireless LAN].
Connecting to a Wired LAN and Wireless LAN at the Same Time
Select [Wired LAN + Wireless LAN].
* The wired LAN connects via the main line, and the wireless LAN connects via the sub line.
* If you change the settings from [Wireless LAN], the previous wireless LAN connection settings will be cleared, so you must reconnect to the wireless LAN.
Connecting to a Wired LAN and Other Wired LAN at the Same Time
Select [Wired LAN + Wired LAN].
* The wired LAN connected to the LAN port on the machine becomes the main line, and the wired LAN connected to the machine via a USB-LAN adapter becomes the sub line.

Press [OK].
The settings are applied.
Next, connect to the wired or wireless LAN.
