Setting the DNS of the Sub Line

When the machine is connected to two different networks at the same time and using DNS to send and receive specific system data via the sub line, set the IP address of the DNS server used on the sub line.
* The DNS settings of the sub line can only be used to send and receive specific system data and cannot be used via normal Internet connection.
* When using DNS via the sub line for purposes other than sending and receiving specific system data, set the IP address of the DNS server used for the sub line in the DNS settings of the main line. Configuring DNS
 
This section describes how to configure the settings using the control panel.
You can also configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer. Managing the Machine from a Computer (Remote UI)
Administrator or NetworkAdmin privileges are required.

Log in to the machine as an administrator. Logging In to the Machine

On the control panel, press [ Settings/Registration] in the [Home] screen or other screen. [Home] Screen
The [Settings/Registration] screen is displayed.

Press [Preferences]  [Network]  [Sub Line Settings]  [Settings for System Data Communic.]  [DNS Server Address Settings].
The [DNS Server Address Settings] screen is displayed.

Enter the IP address of the DNS server, and press [OK].
Press [Primary DNS Server] to select it, and enter the IP address of the DNS server.
When using a secondary DNS server, press [Secondary DNS Server] to select it, and enter the IP address of that server.
* When not using a secondary DNS server, leave it set to "0.0.0.0".

Press [ Settings/Registration]  [Yes].
The settings are applied.
