Monitoring Preparation
To monitor the status of the printer or its printer/fax jobs using Desktop Browser, Printer Monitor, or Quick Printing Tool, the device must be configured as a monitoring target in Desktop Monitor Setup.
To configure a device to be monitored, create an application-enabled port of the printer.
When the standard TCP/IP port are specified to the printer that prints/faxes, it is possible to automatically respecify the application-enabled port with the same IP address to the printer.
By selecting the appropriate check box in the [imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop Quick Printing Tool Settings] dialog box, the port is automatically changed to an application-enabled port.
You can change the properties of the printer and the port. For more information, see the following.
