Preventing Sending Data by Mistake, Data Leakage, and Tampering

Unintentionally sending a fax to the wrong destination or leaving a printed document on the machine poses a risk of information leakage. In addition, while sending a fax from a computer and using memory media are easy and convenient, these can lead to operation errors and information theft. When you manage confidential documents, they may also be exposed to threats from malicious third parties, such as unauthorized copying or scanned document tampering.
You can take measures to prevent sending data by mistake, leaking information, and document tampering, according to the usage status of the function, to ensure safer use of the machine.
Restricting and Confirming the Send Destination
You can restrict the destinations to which scanned data and faxes are sent and display a screen prompting the user to confirm the fax number when sending.
Appropriately Restricting Functions
You can restrict access to part or all of a function when sending a fax or using memory media.
Preventing Unattended Printed Documents and Information Theft
You can restrict printing from a computer, or configure the settings so that the machine does not immediately print received faxes.
Preventing Unauthorized Copying
You can have user information or a concealed watermark embedded into a document when printing and copying.
Adding a Digital Signature and Encrypting E-mail
Adding a digital signature to scanned data can guarantee the author of the file and prove that the document has not been tampered with. You can set S/MIME to encrypt or add a digital signature to an e-mail or I-Fax.
