Setting the IPv4 Address of the Sub Line
When the machine is connected to two different networks at the same time, set the IPv4 address to be used on the sub line.
This section describes how to configure the settings using the control panel.
You can also set the IP address using Remote UI from a computer after it has been set on the machine.
Managing the Machine from a Computer (Remote UI)Administrator or NetworkAdmin privileges are required.

Log in to the machine as an administrator.

On the control panel, press [
Settings/Registration] in the [Home] screen or other screen.

Press [Preferences]
[Network]
[Sub Line Settings]
[IP Address Settings].
The [IP Address Settings] screen is displayed.
Set the IP address.
When Assigning an IP Address Automatically
Press [DHCP] to select it.
* In an environment where DHCP cannot be used, it is recommended to not select [DHCP]. If this remains selected, the machine will continue to check on automatically obtaining an IP address in the network, creating unnecessary communication.
When Setting the IP Address Manually

Check that [DHCP] is not selected.

Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address.
Press the item to be entered to select it, and then enter the information.

Press [OK].

Settings/Registration]
[Yes].

Log in to Remote UI as an administrator
press [Settings/Registration]
[Network Settings]

clear the [Release Address Last Acquired from DHCP Server When Address Cannot Be Acquired] checkbox
press [OK]
[Apply Setting Changes].
