Printing

This section explains the basic printing method using the printer driver.
NOTE
Printing methods may differ depending on the application you are using. For details, see the instruction manuals provided with the application.

1.
Select [Print] from the [File] menu of the application.

Windows 10
Select [Print] in the application menu
Windows 8/Server 2012
Display charms at screen right → [Devices] → Select the printer being used → Click [Print]
Windows 8.1/Server 2012 R2
Display charms at screen right → [Devices] → [Print] → Select the printer being used → Click [Print]
When printing by the above procedure, only a portion of printing functions can be specified.

Select your printer from [Select Printer] → click [Properties] or [Preferences].

Specify the desired settings in the printer driver screen → click [OK].
Click the tabs for the [Basic Settings], [Page Setup], [Finishing], [Paper Source], and [Quality] tabs, and then specify the desired items.
NOTE
The [Basic Settings] tab contains basic settings collected from all of the driver settings. Settings specifiable in the [Basic Settings] tab can also be specified in other tabs.

4.
Click [Print] or [OK].
Printing begins.
NOTE
If a printer icon is displayed in the task tray at the bottom right of your computer monitor, you can stop printing from your computer. Double-click the printer icon → click the name of the file you want to stop printing → click [Document] → [Cancel].
When printing from the Windows Store app in Windows 8/8.1/10/Server 2012/Server 2012 R2, and have specified settings beforehand requiring input/operation during printing such as secured print or Edit and Preview, the message "The printer requires your attention. Go to the desktop to take care of it." is displayed.
