Various Features of the Express Copy Basic Features Screen

This section describes the keys displayed on the Express Copy Basic Features screen. For detailed explanations of each mode/key, see the references in From the Regular Copy Basic Features Screen in the table below.

This screen enables you to set basic copying modes. You can set basic copying modes, such as the density or finishing mode, Favorite Settings and Previous Settings.

Key		Description	From the Regular Copy Basic Features Screen
1	Select Color	You can select the color mode.	See "Changing Color Modes."
2	Adjusting Density Manually	You can adjust the copy density.	See "Adjusting Density Manually."
3	Copy Ratio	Press to specify the desired copy ratio.	See "Changing Basic Copy Ratios," "Zoom by Length," and "Setting the X and Y Axes Independently."
4	Select Paper	Press to select the paper size/type and the paper source.	See "Paper Selection."
5	2-Sided	This mode enables you to make two-sided copies from one-sided or two-sided originals, or make one-sided copies from two-sided originals.	See "Two-Sided Copying" and "Book→2 Pages."
6	Finishing	This mode enables you to collate copies in various ways, by pages or copy sets	See "Collating Copies."
7		You can specify the following settings: Register/Edit Favorite Settings Register to Quick Menu Changing the Default Settings Register Options Shortcuts	See "Storing, Recalling, and Deleting Favorite Settings (Favorite Settings)" and "Setting Shortcuts on the Express Copy Basic Features Screen."
8	Options	You can configure a range of copy functions.	See "Overview of This Function."
9	Interrupt	The interrupt mode enables you to pause a reserved or current job to make higher priority copies.	See "Interrupt Mode."
10	Copy Sample	This mode enables you to check the copy result before making multiple copies.	See "Copy Sample."
11	Adjust Image Quality	You can adjust image quality to the level best suited for the quality of text or photo originals.	See "Selecting the Original Type."
12	Shortcuts to [Options]	You can set up to six shortcuts.	See "Setting Shortcuts on the Express Copy Basic Features Screen."
13	Previous Settings	Press to recall the three most recent copy settings.	See "Recalling Previous Copy Jobs (Previous Settings)."
14	Favorite Settings	Press to register frequently used copy settings. You can also recall registered copy settings.	See "Storing Favorite Settings" and "Recalling and Deleting Favorite Settings."

The modes for Options on the Express Copy Basic Features screen can be displayed on the Regular Copy Basic Features screen by pressing [Options].
