Preparing to Print from an Android or Chrome OS Device
When you print from an Android or Chrome OS device, you need to make preparations according to the device and printing method you are using.
Android Devices
Enable the Mopria® function on the machine when you print using Mopria® Print Service or Default Print Service.
* This setting is not required when you print using Canon PRINT Business or Canon Print Service.
Chrome OS Devices (Such As Chromebook)
Enable the Mopria® function on the machine.
* You can also use IPP Everywhere to print directly from your device, if your device supports IPP Everywhere. Enable the IPP Everywhere function on the machine when you print using IPP Everywhere.
This section describes how to configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer.
On the control panel, select [
Settings/Registration] in the [Home] screen or other screen, and then select [Preferences] to configure the settings.
[Network]Administrator or NetworkAdmin privileges are required.

Log in to Remote UI as an administrator.
Starting Remote UI2
On the Portal page of Remote UI, click [Settings/Registration].

Enable the function on the machine.
When Enabling the Mopria
® Function

Click [Network Settings]
[Mopria Settings].
The [Mopria Settings] screen is displayed.

Select the [Use Mopria] checkbox, and click [OK].
The setting is applied.
When Enabling the IPP Everywhere Function

Click [Network Settings]
[IPP Everywhere Settings].
The [IPP Everywhere Settings] screen is displayed.

Select the [Use IPP Everywhere] checkbox, and click [OK].
The setting is applied.

Log out from Remote UI.
NOTE
When the Mopria® function or IPP Everywhere function are enabled, the following network settings are also enabled.
* The mDNS setting for IPv6 is fixed to use the same mDNS name as IPv4.
