Hiding Destinations (Access Number Management)
By setting an access number, you can register destinations that you do not want to disclose to all users, such as important clients, to the Address Book in a hidden state. Destinations with a set access number can only be displayed by entering the correct access number. Follow the procedure below to enable access number management, so that you can set an access number to destinations in the Address Book.
* When access number management is enabled, you cannot use the setting history on the scan (Scan and Send) or fax screen of the control panel.
This section describes how to configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer. On the control panel, select [ Settings/Registration] in the [Home] screen or other screen, and then select [Set Destination] to configure the settings. [Manage Address Book Access Numbers] Administrator privileges are required.
You can hide the Address Book and one-touch buttons from the scan (Scan and Send) and fax screens on the control panel. Configure whether to hide the Address Book and one-touch buttons for each function.
Use the control panel to configure the settings. You cannot configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer. Administrator privileges are required.
