Starting and Stopping Synchronization (Server Machine)
This section describes how to start and stop synchronization on the server machine.
Starting Synchronization on the Server Machine
Enable the synchronization function on the server machine, and configure the data to be synchronized.
This section describes how to configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer.
On the control panel, select [
Settings/Registration] in the [Home] screen or other screen, and then select [Management Settings] to configure the settings. However, the control panel can only be used to enable the synchronization function.
[Synchronize Custom Settings (Server)]Administrator privileges are required.
Required Preparations
To maintain an accurate time on the machine, configure the settings to obtain the time information from the time server on the network.
Configuring SNTP1
Log in to Remote UI as an administrator.
Starting Remote UI2
On the Portal page of Remote UI, click [Synchronize Custom Settings].

Click [Change Connection Destination].
The [Connection Settings] screen is displayed.

In [Service] under [Synchronize Custom Settings (Server)], select [Start].

Click [Change]
[OK].
Synchronization of the server machine is enabled and the [Synchronize Custom Settings] screen is displayed again.

Click [To Portal] at the top right of the screen.

On the Portal page of Remote UI, click [Synchronize Custom Settings (Server)].

* When the [Synchronize Custom Settings (Server)] screen is displayed, click [Data Sharing Details] of [Device].

Configure the data to be synchronized.

Specify whether to synchronize the data.
To synchronize the data, select [Shared across All Devices]. To use device-specific information without synchronizing, select [Device-Specific (Not Shared)].
If you change the setting from [Device-Specific (Not Shared)] to [Shared across All Devices] while synchronization is in progress, all Shared button settings and data specific to each client machine are initialized before synchronization.
If you change the setting from [Shared across All Devices] to [Device-Specific (Not Shared)], all data in [Default Settings] and [Previous Settings] is initialized for users registered in the server machine.

Click [OK]
[Yes].

Prepare the Synchronization and configure the settings for data replication or backup, as needed.

Log out from Remote UI.
NOTE
Checking the Synchronization Communication Log
On the screen shown in Step
3, you can check the synchronization communication log and store it as a file on a computer.
If an error occurs, [Warning] or [Error] is displayed for [Level].
[Warning]: Server machine unable to communicate temporarily, etc.
[Error]: Data registration limit has been exceeded, etc.
Stopping Synchronization on the Server Machine
This section describes how to configure the settings using Remote UI from a computer.
On the control panel, select [
